Feed Industry Consultant

 

Pulse Canada, the Canola Council of Canada and the Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI) invite applications for a Canadian Feed Industry Consultant.

 

Applicants are required to hold a Masters or Ph.D. in animal science and must possess experience at a senior level within the Chinese feed industry and/or livestock industry. The consultant will execute projects of interest to Pulse Canada, the Canola Council of Canada and CIGI. The successful candidate will work with the above industry organizations on a project basis to co-ordinate feeding trials and other applied research, provide technical marketing support to Chinese feed manufacturers, deliver technical presentations and prepare regular reports for both the Chinese feed industry and stakeholders in Canada. The Canadian Feed Industry Representative must speak Mandarin Chinese fluently and possess strong written and oral English communication skills.  The Consultant will also be required to build partnerships, identify opportunities, provide recommendations and evaluate programs within the Chinese feed industry.  Travel within China and international travel will be required in support of market development activities.

 

Pulse Canada is a national industry association that represents the growers, processors and exporters of pulses including peas, feed peas, beans, lentils and chickpeas.

 

The Canola Council of Canada is a national industry association that represents the growers, processors and exporters of Canola seed, oil and meal.

 

CIGI is a non-profit instructional facility dedicated to promoting world markets on behalf of Canada’s field crops through educational programming and technical activities.

 

Consulting fees will be commensurate with project specific responsibilities.
